The William Penn Inn is a historical venue and one of the premier Wedding and Banquet establishments in Montgomery County. We are known for the rich tradition of hospitality, renowned for our dedication to a tradition of continental country dining in a relaxed, cordial atmosphere along with exquisite cuisine, fine wines, personal service, and flawless coordination. As one of Montgomery County's premier banquet establishments, we are seeking an experienced Banquet Sales Manager to join our team.

What You'll Do:

The Banquet Sales Manager is a pivotal role responsible for day-to-day sales activities at our esteemed venue. From intimate gatherings of 20 to large-scale events with over 250 attendees, including weddings, corporate functions, and luncheons, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that each event is meticulously planned and executed to meet our exacting standards.

Essential Functions:

As the Banquet Sales Manager, your core responsibilities include:

• Event Bookings: Generate event bookings, with a focus on weddings, corporate events, luncheons, and other special occasions.

• Client Engagement: Actively solicit local businesses and leads, maintaining strong client relationships to drive business growth.

• Exceptional Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, delivering memorable experiences while maximizing profitability.

• Tours: Conduct daily tours for prospective clients, showcasing our venue's unique offerings and capabilities.

• Event Finalization: Oversee the finalization of all events, ensuring that every detail aligns with our high standards.

• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with vendors to ensure the smooth execution of events.

• Communication: Respond promptly and courteously to phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries and requests professionally.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office is required, and familiarity with Caterease is a plus.

• Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional and personable appearance when representing our venue.

• Flexibility: Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our events and venue.

What You'll Need:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Event Sales Experience: A minimum of 3 years of event sales experience, demonstrating your ability to drive sales and meet targets.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for building strong client relationships.

• Presence: Maintain a strong, highly visible, and respectful presence with guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.

• Passion: Exhibit a genuine passion for food and beverage, coupled with an unwavering dedication to providing unparalleled hospitality to all guests.

• Wedding Knowledge: Knowledge of wedding planning and execution is highly desirable, as weddings are a significant part of our portfolio.
