Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, organization, implementation and maintenance of all information technology functions within the company; effectively satisfies all user and functional requirements; assures optimal productivity and user satisfaction

Essential Functions:

• Responsibly manages all Information Technology projects
• Ensures Integrity and security of all data belonging to or held by the Organization globally
• Maintains a constant dialog with other mangers in the business to ensure that needs are being addressed and opportunities are not being missed
• Analyzes potential requirements presented by business users and recommends technical solutions, ensuring wherever possible maximum synergy, benefit and cohesion across various platforms and functions
• Set and manage expectations that are understood and supported by the business
• Obtain the best possible value from (and use of) our Investment in Information Technology
• Ensures the consistency and reliability of necessary applications and virtual/physical infrastructure
• Liaises between users, operations, and IT Staff to ensure excellence in expectations and deliverables
• Creates, refines and develops IT Policies with due regard to relevant external input
• Specify and provision additional or redundant capability to deliver relevant business goals
• Produces realistic deliverable timeframes and budgets for required version upgrades and hardware refreshes
• Oversees and prioritizes the work load of department staff, consultants and partners
• Reviews and assists with technical designs, coding and testing
• Participates in Vendor, Infrastructure and Software evaluations
• Represents the IT function with external partners when appropriate
• Advises on appropriate levels of education and training for both IT staff and users
• Performs all required HR & Administrative tasks in accordance and in compliance with all relevant AR Policies

Additional Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 5-10 years of effective information systems function management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Business and supply chain functional knowledge coupled with information technology expertise (e.g. ERP systems, servers, programming, software, networks, etc.)
• Ability to understand and easily relate with all functional user requirements and develop/implement systems satisfying same
• Results oriented; strong track record thereof coupled with high levels of user satisfaction
• Strong leadership, influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills; ability to communicate within all levels of the organization, as well as with outside organizations and agencies
• Ability to be on-call 24 hours and travel up to 25% of the time as business needs warrant
