Engineering Technician

PAY: 42-46/hr

DURATION: 6 months. Potential for conversion but not guaranteed.

BENEFITS: Medical insurance, 401K, sick leave as applicable by state law, and EAP.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Building, testing, and troubleshooting boards and prototypes.
• Perform environmental and EMS tests.
• Evaluates circuit performance and testing procedures.
• Perform comprehensive testing and evaluations of components and systems to confirm functionality and compliance with design specifications.
• Carry out regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure peak efficiency and performance.
• Diagnose and address equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs with the maintenance team as required.
• Keep thorough and precise records of equipment servicing, repair work, and testing processes.
• Prepare detailed reports that summarize findings, test results, and suggested enhancements.
• Partner with engineers and team members to execute design changes and system improvements in line with project objectives.
• Use critical thinking to resolve technical challenges and maintain high attention to detail.
• Accurately interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Qualifications:

• AA degree in Electronics or Military training.
• 5 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with environmental and EMS tests.
• Previous experience in an Engineering Technician role or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Proficient in understanding and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
