Job Description

Summary

We are looking to expand our children's classes on weeknights (5:30 - 6:30PM) or Saturday mornings/Sunday afternoons. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about teaching the young generation about cooking, science/nature, art, STEM, you name it! Teachers will use our outdoor or indoor space to cater to a group of students: 3-5 year olds (parents attend), 6-8 year olds, or 9 - 11 year olds. Classes can range from 6-12 students inside or over 12 if outside. Teachers must present their lesson plans/curriculum ideas to the director who will approve. Families sign up and pay using our system and website - teachers just advertise and teach!

Classes of 4-5 students: $16 hourly
Classes of 6-8 students: $18 hourly
Classes of 8-12 students $20 hourly
Classes of 13 - 15 students $22 hourly

Duties

• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.

Requirements

• Teaching experience in a formal setting (tutoring, teaching, childcare, etc.)
• A strong understanding of child development and ability to make engaging lessons that are age appropriate
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

About Us

Nurtured Growth Childcare Center is a new center opening in summer of 2025 in Osage Beach, MO. We will provide a play-based program with focus on health and well-being of children through physical movement, nutrition, and time spent outdoors as much as possible. This center will be located 1 block away from the local hospital. We will be offing enrichment classes through out the day for the children in the community. On Friday nights, we will be offering date night care from 5-9pm for the community. On Saturdays, we will be offering enrichment classes and Mom tribe groups.
