*This is an on-site position located in Shreveport, LA*

Prolec GE designs, manufactures, and sells products and solutions for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy. With more than 50 years’ experience in the industry, Prolec GE is an important player in the Mexican market and a key participant in the rest of the Americas, with business units in Mexico, the United States, and Brazil.

Drive a culture of safety and environmental stewardship by leading EHS initiatives, improving processes, mentoring teams, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and fostering collaboration to achieve an incident free workplace and achieve operational excellence

Essential Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement and drive accountability for EHS initiatives aligning with corporate policies
• Establish a visible presence to mentor teams, monitor safety practices, oversee EHS staff and develop talent while promoting a culture of safety excellence
• Manage incidents, conduct investigations, ensure compliance with audits and regulations and implement strategies to mitigate unsafe conditions and behaviors
• Analyze safety and environmental data, track KPIs and report trends to address risks, ensure compliance, reduce violations and enhance overall safety and environmental performance
• Work with HR, finance and senior management to align training, audits and risk management strategies while maintaining robust communication and strong interdepartmental relationships

Qualifications/Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• 3-5 years previous EHS Leadership experience
