Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating and preparing estimates for complex architectural millwork projects and custom fixtures using the company ERP system. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain specific estimating information (data base) used to support estimating functions, such as labor rates, operations times, material costs, outsourcing costs, standard data tables and various project costs.
• Identify complete project scope for estimates, including quantity of fixtures, material and labor resources required, quality levels and schedules.
• Utilize ERP system to develop estimates and maintain estimating data in a way that leverages the information across entire company.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process.
• Understand architectural millwork manufacturing processes and associated costs.
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Possess high knowledge of millwork industry materials and processes.
• Maintain high level of technical proficiency in fixture fabrication methods, materials and use of ERP system and Excel.
• Able to understand contract documents (blueprints, specifications, contracts).
• Possess knowledge of sub-contracting and global options.
• Demonstrate good judgment and economy.
• Experience with Innergy is preferred.
