Financial Analyst – Real Estate Property Management

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Fully In-Office)

Compensation: $70,000 – $100,000 (DOE)

Position Summary

Plan2Placement is partnering with a leading Property Management company in Los Angeles to find a detail-oriented and driven Financial Analyst to join their team. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial operations and performance strategy of a diverse portfolio of multifamily and commercial properties. The Financial Analyst will work onsite at the company’s Los Angeles office, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights that drive operational and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial performance of real estate assets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.
  • Collaborate with property management, asset management, and accounting teams to track and improve financial KPIs.
  • Provide variance analyses and financial commentary for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
  • Assist with capital planning, ROI modeling, and sensitivity/scenario analysis.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentation materials.
  • Support the annual budget process and mid-year reforecasting efforts.
  • Ensure data accuracy through coordination with accounting and property operations teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or Master’s is a plus).
  • 3–7 years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in real estate, property management, or a related industry.
  • Strong Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, lookups) and familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player with a high degree of accountability and professionalism.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fully in-office environment in Los Angeles.
