Fairchild Freight is seeking an experienced Director of Fleet Operations to lead our transportation division with a focus on safety, compliance, operational excellence, and team development. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing a growing fleet, a dynamic team, and driving strategic initiatives that align with company goals.

In this role, you will:

• Lead driver performance, recruitment, and retention efforts
• Oversee compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations
• Optimize fleet utilization, maintenance, and cost-efficiency
• Manage key personnel across safety, recruiting, driver management, and equipment administration
• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Who You Are:

A seasoned transportation professional with:

• 7+ years in fleet or transportation leadership
• In-depth knowledge of federal compliance standards and safety programs
• A track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Strong operational, analytical, and leadership skills
• A hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to fleet challenges
