Job Description
Title: QC/QA TechnicianSalary: $60,000 - $70,000Location: Houston, Texas
Position Summary:The QC/QA Technician provides technical and quality assurance support to the U.S. business unit, including document verification, regulatory compliance, internal audits, customer interaction, and support for documentation and reporting processes.
Duties:Monitor and support compliance with FDA and other regulatory standards.Coordinate with Commercial and Logistics teams to resolve customer complaints and quality issues.Review and verify COAs/BOLs and terminal instructions; audit and maintain post-loading documentation (e.g., WONA Score Card).Complete customer questionnaires in coordination with the Supply Chain Manager and QA Supervisor.Document and report on product/service quality levels.Develop inspection standards and product inspection workflows.Create plans to reduce waste and improve process efficiency.Support error resolution and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.Train QA team members on inspection processes.Collaborate across departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required: HACCP experience.Preferred: FDA, Food Safety, FSVP Compliance; customer complaint resolution; quality audits.Additional Plus: Experience in Cosmetics (MoCRA), USDA/Animal Feed, or Pharma regulations.Strong verbal and written communication.High dependability, organization, and time management.Demonstrated commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement.Familiarity with English language rules and composition.Technologically adept; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Other Requirements:Mathematical proficiency with ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.Strong reasoning and problem-solving ability for technical and abstract challenges.Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.Certifications:FSVP, PCQI, and HACCP certified.
