Logistics Coordinator

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage logistics operations, support the efficient movement of goods, and maintain optimal inventory levels. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple pickups and deliveries through phone and email communication
  • Track and update shipment status for customers
  • Negotiate rates and services with carriers tactfully and strategically
  • Source and acquire new carriers to meet operational needs
  • Provide excellent customer service to both shippers and carriers
  • Implement strategies to streamline product flow and reduce logistics costs
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries
  • Identify and support process improvements across the logistics framework
  • Support account management and development efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a transportation or logistics environment
  • Strong customer service orientation and work ethic
  • Attention to detail with the ability to process information quickly and make decisions
  • Experience in supply chain management preferred
  • Knowledge of logistics software/systems is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement
