Location: 9203 F St, Omaha, NE 68127

Schedule: Monday - Saturday from 3pm - 12:30am (day off during the week). Subject to change based on company needs.

Overview:

Supervises and works alongside maintenance employees to completion all aspects of maintenance duties for the property that he/she is assigned. Assists the Facilities Manager in the installation and/or improvement of all maintenance programs and policies. Performs routine maintenance functions on equipment and facilities as needed. Supervises all work of the maintenance department for that facility.

Essential job duties include:

• Oversees the performance of and assists as needed in all maintenance functions for the property that he/she is assigned. Diligently follows the directions given by the Department Manager, Facilities Director, and Division Head. Maintains a clean and safe shop environment.
• Oversees and assists as necessary the following: machine repair, part orders, inventory, purchasing, necessary record keeping ensuring proper and safe working order of all equipment. Is responsible for job performance appraisals as his/her area requires. Trains, schedules, and disciplines all employees within their area.
• Assists Maintenance Manager in interviews, corrective action decisions, terminations, as well as development of motivational schemes. Must display the principals of OS ethics policy and promote high morale in others.
• Oversees and coordinates with Facilities Manager on the safety checks of equipment at their property.
• Responsible and accountable for ensuring that each employee under his/her supervision works safely. Responsible for ensuring compliance with government & OSHA regulations such as Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, Electrical, Machine Guarding, Power Equipment, Bloodborne Pathogens, Personal Protective Equipment as required (ie. safety glasses, face shield, welding hood, hard toe boots, hearing protection), etc. Follows Return-to-Work Program, Ergonomics Program, and Safe Lifting guidelines. Ensures timely reporting of accidents (within 24 hours). Assists Safety Specialists with accident investigations for his/her department and implements corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Directly administers the security of the building to which he/she is assigned and reports this to the Maintenance Manager.
• May be required to perform maintenance work at different facilities from time to time as needed as well as afterhours calls.
• Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 2 years specialized training in Mechanical Engineering a plus. 3-4 years maintenance, building or mechanical experience. Supervisor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PC with ability to learn or use maintenance software and basic pc programs such as word, excel, and outlook.
• Skill in operating a variety of power equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of plant machinery and preventative maintenance methods and techniques. Skills in identifying equipment malfunctions and safety hazards.
• Supervisory skills, knowledge of budgeting and scheduling work.
• Knowledge and skill of conveyors, plc’s, low voltage controls, and electrical experience up to 480V, commercial refrigeration, industrial plumbing and electrical systems, commercial heating and A/C operations. Services, repairs, adjusts, and tests machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical principles.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

• Work in a variety of climates-cold & hot.
