C Light Technologies is looking for a Medical Device Manufacturing Technician to join our Manufacturing Team.

About C Light Technologies:

We are a UC Berkeley spin-off startup team. Our company mission is to deliver a Compact and Accessible AI-driven healthcare solution through the unique combination of ultrahigh quality eye-brain data and a brain-inspired AI algorithmic system. Our first-generation product is targeted to revolutionize the process of how diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer, mTBI, etc., can potentially be detected as early as possible, influencing hundreds of millions of people worldwide. 

We will be using everything we learn from retinal data to expand our AI platform across different diseases for prognostication and early prediction. To deliver on our mission, we need to expand our team with highly skilled and motivated team members to help us change healthcare for the better!

What We Will Need To See:

  • High school diploma and above (college experience)
  • Hands-on on experience with hand tools and laboratory equipment.
  • Medical Device Industry experience, knowledge on SOPs, QMS and other compliance requirements.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, Solidworks is plus.
  • Data analysis and reporting, good documentation practice (GDP)
  • Occasional travel is required.

How To Stand Out :

  • Experience with robust, safety-critical, efficient production with development under ISO 13485, ISO 14971 compliance is a plus
  • Optical background with knowledge on concepts of focal length, aberrations, optical alignment, etc.

Who You Are:

This position reports directly to our Principal R&D Technician. This role collaborates with teams across the organization including Hardware Engineering, Product Manufacture, Regulatory, Scientific & Clinical Trial teams, IT, Sales, and Marketing. In this role, your responsibilities would include the following:

As a member of our Manufacturing team, you will work on implementing, building the innovation eye-brain connection measurement system:

  • Productionize and optimize medical imaging product manufacturing
  • Innovate on using measurements, metrics, data-driven approaches to insist production quality
  • You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers encompassing the entire Medical Device Development domain. As such, you should have a track record of working well across teams and organizations
  • Direct customer impact through on-site product deployment, interactions with customers on a breakthrough technology and product.
