Job Description

Job Title: Medical Device Quality Inspector

Location: Madison, WI (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $30/hr. on W2

Overview:

The Medical Device Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that materials, processes, and final products meet GMP standards and comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485 / ISO 9001). This role involves conducting precision part inspections, recording data in SAP, and supporting production within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of parts and materials using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gage pins, plug/thread gages).
  • Interpret technical drawings to ensure components meet specifications.
  • Record inspection results in SAP ERP system (training provided).
  • Report and document any nonconforming materials using internal systems.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily production and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain attention to detail to identify defects, deviations, or flaws in components.
  • Participate in cross-functional activities, including overtime when necessary due to production demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using optical measurement machines or CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 standards.
  • Prior experience in a regulated or medical device manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience with material inspection and data entry into computer-based applications (SAP preferred, training provided).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and able to work overtime based on production needs.
  • High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and dependable.
