SZ PM Consultants, Inc. is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction consulting firm providing infrastructure inspection, construction oversight, and program management support throughout the DC Metropolitan area. We partner with major public transportation and infrastructure owners to support safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced Construction Inspector to support a major transit station upgrade project in Crystal City. This position requires night shift availability (10:00 PM – 5:00 AM) and is expected to continue through project completion in 2027. The selected candidate will play a key role in field inspections related to system upgrades, structural improvements, and mechanical installations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on transit infrastructure projects and hold current inspection-related certifications from local or regional agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections during night shifts to ensure contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Document progress and identify any deviations or non-compliant work
• Perform inspections across multiple disciplines: Systems/Electrical (including power and low-voltage installations), Structural components and Mechanical systems
• Coordinate with construction teams, project engineers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and safe progress
• Maintain daily reports and submit inspection records in accordance with program protocols
• Adhere to all safety standards and permit requirements while on-site

Qualification

• 5+ years of construction inspection experience, with emphasis on transit, infrastructure, or public agency work
• Strong knowledge of system/electrical, structural, and/or mechanical components in heavy civil construction
• Familiarity with transit station construction or upgrades is highly preferred
• Certifications from recognized local agencies (such as OSHA, ICC, NICET, or equivalent) are strongly encouraged
• Ability to work overnight hours on-site, in active construction environments

Immediate availability is preferred. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
