SUMMARY
The Pharmaceutical Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient development and production of new and existing pharmaceutical products/projects. Their responsibilities span various aspects of product coordination to be successful in the planning, execution, and delivery of all product related projects within the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Planning:
- Manages multiple project tasks at one time.
- Maintains and updates the project plan schedule for new projects as directed.
- Acts as a primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates. Escalates complex project tasks to Product Development as necessary.
- Monitors project timelines and milestones to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Monitors the activities of all related personnel to ensure critical dates are met.
- Completes or obtains required documentation for each task and distributes appropriately.
- Provides regular project status updates to stakeholders, including progress reports and milestone achievements.
- Updates team at weekly project meetings on status of projects.
Product Management:
- Collaborates with stakeholders, sales, marketing, and development teams, to gather and disseminate product requirements.
- Creates and updates Product Development Briefs as directed by Chief Marketing Officer and/or Product Development.
- Opens quotes and projects for Product Development Briefs and/or External Requests for Product Quotes as directed.
- Coordinates with R&D to ensure all samples and proper documentation are routed for approval accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinates all packaging as directed via product specifications and submits to Package Engineering for review and approval.
- Coordinates all artwork review and approval through cross-functional teams.
- Creates component item numbers for new component artwork.
- Creates, submits, and updates all documents for Product Bills of Materials for all products manufactured by the company by target due dates to ensure product is ready for product launch.
- Coordinates with Planning to ensure production is scheduled and on track.
- Submits any required product information to external agencies in advance of product launch.
- Maintains thorough documentation of all communication, submissions and interactions related to the insurance coverage process.
- Provide insurance status updates to all stakeholders, sales, marketing and regulatory as received.
- Enters internal component purchase orders.
- Communicates production planning schedules to stakeholders.
- Identifies and resolves issues that present roadblocks to project completion or may result in shipping delays.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Education, Experience and Licensure
- 2+ years’ experience in an administrative or product management role
- Higher education in Business and Management or related field, degree preferred, but not required.
Technical Skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with software tools for project management, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Ability to quickly learn new software programs as needed.
Language Skills
Must demonstrate good command of the English language, communicating clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
Mathematical Skills
Must analyze and present quantitative data. Compute basic mathematical equations such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Must analyze and interpret data relating to various projects and resolve issues and problems that arise.
The Project Manager must:
- Resolve issues of a general and routine nature and exercise appropriate judgment to escalate issues to senior management.
- Effectively prioritize routine work assignments to ensure goals and timelines are met.
- Apply knowledge of Company policies and procedures to problems and provide appropriate resolution.

- Work will be conducted in a standard office environment with associated distractions such as noise from telephones, keyboards, talking, and paging systems.
- Temperatures are regulated by facilities management and are not within the direct control of the individual.
- Most work is done while sitting down, using a computer keyboard and gazing at a computer monitor.
- Position requires the incumbent to move from the work area to other areas of the company, including other offices, cubicles, warehouse and production areas, conference rooms and other offices in the same building or another building. The incumbent may be required to walk or drive his or her own vehicle to a second location a short distance away.
- Must be able to sit for up to eight hours per day, lift and carry up to 20 lbs. with or without assistance, reach above shoulder height, bend, stoop, and crawl to retrieve items from under a desk or floor level cabinet or drawer; push and pull, use a computer keyboard throughout the workday, stand while filing or performing other essential responsibilities.
- Exposure to standard chemicals used in an office environment is expected and includes but is not limited to toner, glue and liquid paper or correction fluids. Additionally, the incumbent may be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process of nutritional supplements, cosmetics, and prescription drugs. Exposure to these types of chemicals is limited.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and be able to drive to appointments. Must maintain current, in-force vehicle insurance.
Salary Expectations
This is a full-time position with a projected salary range of $80,000 to $110,000. Actual amount offered will depend on the individual's level of relevant experience and education. In addition to salary, there is a benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance with up to 75% covered by PureTek, PTO accrual, 401k, etc.
