Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Registered Dietitian.The position is under the supervision of the Dietetics Assistant Director. 

Major tasks, duties, and responsibilities include but are not limited to providing medical nutrition therapy utilizing the nutrition care process, complete nutritional assessments through a priority system. Responsible for the development, provision, and coordination of nutrition education in focused areas of wellness, nutrition awareness, self-management, and skill development; active member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Write and plan menus to meet nutritional adequacy and participate in recipe development. and performing other tasks as assigned. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required.

Working Conditions

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
