Job Summary

The Shipping Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations with the manufacturing environment by ensuring accurate and efficient loading and shipping finished products. This position involves coordinating outbound shipments, preparing necessary documentation, loading products safely and securely, and maintaining yard organization to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Management Responsibilities

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions

· Coordinate all outbound shipments according to schedule and customer requirements

· Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other equipment, ensuring safe handling of products

· Verify shipment contents against packing lists and bills of lading 

· Communicate with drivers, logistics partners, and internal departments regarding load times and paperwork

· Maintain accurate shipping records and enter data into ERP or warehouse systems

· Inspect trailers for cleanliness and readiness before loading 

· Organize and maintain yard space for trailers, boats, or materials to ensure efficient flow storage 

· Follow all safety procedures and report all unsafe conditions or incidents 

· Support inventory accuracy through proper labeling, scanning, and documentation 

· Collaborate with production, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth daily operations

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

· Ability to operate numerous forklifts: electric stand-up, electric sit-down, L.P. and side load, in a warehouse environment

· Ability to communicate well with others

· Ability to read and understand routings, work orders, manifests, and production reports

· Ability to count accurately

· Ability to take instructions and work with little supervision

· Ability to use EPICOR computer software

· Must be a team player with focus on customer service and quality

· Must have solid work attendance and be reliable

· Ability to provide world class customer service through email, phone, and face to face interactions

Education and Experience Requirements

· High School degree or equivalent

· 1-3 years of shipping, logistics, or yard experience 

· Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment required

Physical Requirements

· Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work. 

· Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions

· Must be able to see details at close range. 

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

· Must be able to read work instructions and drawings.

· Must be able to work at a fast pace.

· Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by lifting, walking, bending, twisting and carrying materials.
