We are a medium-sized consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer of spices, sauces, recipe mixes and fry coatings that are available coast-to-coast in the largest national grocery chains, in search of a social media manager to join our team.
The ideal hire will come with an understanding of the current state of social media and how successful CPG brands rapidly grow fanbases online. The perfect candidate has deep experience with the front and backend of every major social media platform and is ready to activate digital communities and comment sections, collaborate with influencers, and develop other disruptive strategies that will help us grow brand recognition exponentially. Bonus points for real evidence of success on TikTok and Instagram with a CPG brand.
A candidate who can quickly conjure up meme-worthy content independently, with little need for complicated production, is preferred. We’re not looking for a fancy video production expert or graphic designer; we’re looking for someone who can fetch a million views with a spice bottle and their phone.
This person needs to know their way around the kitchen, too. We’re a food company after all, and our fanbase is looking for answers and inspo for their next meal.
Job responsibilities will include performance tracking and weekly reporting. A deep knowledge of the KPIs associated with online brand audience growth and an ability to communicate progress verbally and in writing are required skills for this position. Other responsibilities include influencer management, online community engagement, customer service, and general marketing campaign support.
