HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated System Software Engineer – AOSP Telemetry to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Design and implement system-level software in C/C++ within the AOSP environment.
• Migrate telemetry events from legacy stacks to the new AOSP Telemetry API .
• Work with StatsD and other telemetry components to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
• Ensure successful build completions and pass all relevant unit tests.
• Collaborate with telemetry SMEs and event owners to validate end-to-end telemetry data flow.
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and triage telemetry issues.
• Optimize system performance and contribute to performance fine-tuning efforts.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure telemetry data is correctly produced and consumed by backend systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in C/C++ system-level development .
• Strong hands-on experience with AOSP native services and StatsD telemetry stack .
• Experience with OSSDK Telemetry and telemetry data pipelines.
• Proven ability to debug and optimize system performance.
• Familiarity with build systems, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $79,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $121,000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
