Description Description of the Position We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Preparer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Altos, California. This role focuses exclusively on the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, supporting compliance efforts and helping identify potential opportunities for tax savings. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of corporate tax regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and review corporate tax returns, including multi-state filings + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local corporate tax regulations + Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and risks + Maintain accurate records of all tax filings, reports, and correspondence + Assist with audit support, tax notices, and corporate tax planning projects + Stay up to date on changes in corporate tax law and relevant industry developments + Work with internal teams to gather documentation and clarify reporting requirements + Provide recommendations to leadership on optimizing corporate tax strategy Requirements Requirements of the Position: + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate tax preparation + Strong working knowledge of federal and state corporate tax regulations + Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar) + Experience preparing multi-entity and multi-state corporate returns + Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management + Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical tax matters clearly + CPA or EA certification is a plus, but not required Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
