Certifications & Licenses:
- Customs Broker license preferred
- Industry related certifications preferred
Education
Minimum of two years of industry-related experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
Position Requirements and Skills
- Complete new client profile documentation and account set up (Audits documents) on ACE Suite. Reviews POAs, IRS Proofs, New customers billing formats, CTPAT Supply chain questionnaires, SOP’s provided by customers to establish their operations.
- Monitors FDA holds and requests from FDA for entries to get released.
- Handle FDA ITACS & FDA product code builder.
- Reports (KPI’s, QBR’s, Upload Box Documents, Recon entry, etc.)
- EDI issues and start up (for new and existing customers/procedures)
- Post Summary Corrections & Protests.
- Audits entries, Shippers/EEIs (Audits documents in DIS complete, USMCA, 9801 and 9802, Certificates, Trade Programs, PGA’s, FDA)
- ACE Suite trouble shooting for entry, In Bond, ISF, E-manifest and Shipper/EEI processing
- Classify merchandise and review regulations for Import (HTS) and Export (Schedule B)
- File Single bonds & Continuous bonds. CF301
- Keep Clients/Employees informed of the regulations that apply to Import/Export operation
- Creates, approves, reviews ISO procedures manuals for Entry, Shipper/EEI, In bond, ISF and New customers settings following the standard procedures.
Experience
- Handle of the HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) experience on classification of goods using the HTS online tool.
- Filling out USMCA certificates
- Reading and good understanding of the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations).
- ACE CATAIRs (CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements) deal with PGAs such as: FDA, EPA, APHIS, FSIS, NHTSA, AMS, LACEY.
- Knowledge and understanding of the ACE CATAIR ERROR Dictionary
- Knowledge and understanding of the FDA(Food and Drug Administration)
- FDA CATAIR Supplemental guide: Experience and good understanding of the settings for the FDA regulated products in ACE suite. 08/FDASupplementalGuideVersion2.5.11_508_0.pdf
- FDA PRODUCT CODE Builder application: Experience in assigning FDA product codes using the online tool provided by FDA:
- Experience with CBP ACE Secure Portal
- Knowledge of carriers or Other operational WEB Portals
- Customs Bonds (STB & CTB) Knowledge of the different types of customs bonds
- Good understanding of the process for PSC and Protests.
- Knowledge Section 301 & Section 232 & IEEPA(International Emergency Economic Power Act) Tariffs: Good understanding of the new tariffs active in the US trade
- AD/CVD: Knowledge of Antidumping and countervailing duties
- Knowledge of the programs under Ch. 98 to import products into the US under preferential tariffs or Duty free.
- Documentation: Knowledge of the required information to transmit on CBP ACE system to complete the different customs forms: CF7533 Inward Cargo Manifest/ACE cover sheet, CF3461 Entry/ Immediate Delivery, CF7501 Entry summary, CF7512 Transportation Entry: In bond types 61,62,63,WD61,WD62,WD63, CF3495 Application for exportation, CF3499 Manipulation form, ISF 10+2 , ISF 5+2, EEI(Electronic Export Information) CF4455 certificate of registration, CF6043 Delivery Ticket, FSIS forms, USDA APHIS E-permits, CF301 Customs Bonds, FEDEX Waybills.
