Job Description

Position Overview:

The Social Equity & Community Impact Liaison will play a key role in supporting STIIIZY’s social impact and equity initiatives. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for our Social Equity Retail Partners, manage relationships with nonprofit collaborators and local stakeholders, and support the execution of our community benefits and outreach programs. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate complex licensing environments and track deliverables across multiple jurisdictions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner Engagement & Communication: Maintain open, consistent communication with Social Equity Retail Partners to keep them informed on relevant operational updates, program expectations, and company initiatives. Serve as a trusted liaison, providing support as they navigate industry and regulatory challenges.
  • Program Oversight & Outreach: Collaborate with the Director of Government Affairs and Social Impact to plan, schedule, and execute community benefit programming—such as youth drug prevention, apprenticeship programs, workforce development, and education initiatives. Represent the company at community meetings and public forums.
  • Compliance & Licensing Support: Analyze language in Development and Community Benefit Agreements and convey key requirements to internal departments to ensure timely and accurate execution. Assist in tracking and fulfilling community benefit obligations and supporting social equity deliverables in license applications and renewals.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships with city officials, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and regulatory agencies involved in cannabis permitting and enforcement.
  • Content & Reporting: Assist in preparing written and visual materials (e.g., briefs, recaps, internal reports, charts/diagrams) to document community engagement efforts and support corporate communications.
  • Monitoring & Research: Stay current on social equity-related regulations, best practices, and emerging opportunities across jurisdictions. Identify advocacy opportunities and help address systemic challenges affecting Social Equity Partners.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Strong judgment and ability to represent the company with professionalism
  • 2+ years of experience in community outreach, event planning, nonprofit work, corporate social responsibility, or related fields
  • Familiarity with cannabis licensing and social equity programs is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines across departments
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Asana, and/or other project management tools
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
