Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Part-Time Junior Project Manager to support two small deposit-related projects, each valued at approximately $300K. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level PM with foundational knowledge of PMI principles. The role will focus on project oversight and ensuring completion of baseline PM tasks, with ongoing opportunities for growth and expanded responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Allocation:

  • Support two concurrent deposit projects (25% time allocated to each)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including internal supplier teams

Project Financial Management:

  • Manage Clarity financial entries
  • Create and maintain monthly budget plans in Clarity
  • Input and update monthly resource forecasts
  • Monitor and report on month-end variances, providing rationale for variances >5%

Project Audits & Compliance:

  • Identify and track all required project artefacts
  • Request artefact exemptions as needed
  • Submit monthly Clarity attestations

Status Reporting:

  • Attend and engage with small development teams during daily stand-ups
  • Create and update weekly project status reports in Clarity
  • Summarize project accomplishments and upcoming tasks weekly

Scheduling & Planning:

  • Develop and document project tasks, dependencies, and milestones
  • Maintain and distribute updated project schedules weekly

Project Intake Management:

  • Submit resource intake requests for tasks requiring internal support from supplier teams

Risk, Issue, and Change Management:

  • Identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, and change requests
  • Collaborate with the project team regularly to close open items

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in project management or coordination
  • Solid understanding of PMI project management fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Clarity PPM or similar project/financial tracking tools is a strong asset
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple small projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity
